Living Music Collection

Sometimes we forget that music is all around us. Nature has its own unique music. Even silence is music.  Remembering this can make life more beautiful and connect us all within the realm of sound.  Our conscious awareness that music is all around us, can help us to develop a closer relationship with nature and become more in tune with ourselves.

John Silvestri was born in Dallas, TX in 1988. His artistic ability and creativity were noticed at the age of 8 when he had his first public showing in the St. Louis Art Museum.

Silvestri has studied art both in the U.S. and internationally. After studying art in college, he apprenticed in Italy under modern painter and sculptor, Salvatore Leto. Silvestri’s art has been reviewed on international art talk radio as well as in several newspaper journals, including the Herald Tribune, USF Oracle, and The Oregonian.

At the age of 12, Silvestri began to discover a talent for creating and playing music. For more than a decade he aggressively developed his musical identity. In 2011, Silvestri's original music scored a movie selected to be in Cannes Film Festival.

Now, Silvestri draws on the synergy—and at times conflict—between his life as an artist and his devotion to music. The two passions have come to fuel each other. Silvestri plays guitar like he's painting. And when he paints, he uses realizations arrived to through music. At this stage, Silvestri's music and mixed-media are in perpetual symbiosis.

Silvestri’s work has been purchased and commissioned by people from coast to coast, The Silvestri Art Studio is currently in Sarasota, FL, where his works can be seen in local galleries. Currently Silvestri specializes in combining several eclectic forms of mixed media art with music and videography.
